Upon being informed that the earthquake hit Ya’an, medical professionals of Beijing United Family Hospital, a subsidiary of Fosun Pharma actively applied for participating in medical rescue on the site. United Family Hospital held an urgent meeting on 20 April morning, resulting a medical emergency relief team was set up, which included 8 physicians and 4 nurses from Emergency Department, Department of Medicine, Surgical Department, Pediatrics, Gynecology, Obstetrics, Rehabilitation and Psychology Departments. The medical team would set off in the morning of April 22 to the command post in Lushan County and started rescue work, after meeting up with other medical staffs of Hanhong Love Charity Foundation and Beijing Xuanwu Hospital. At that moment, the medical materials were under immediate preparation.
