On April 2, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) issued 2013 Top100 in the Medical Industry in China. Fosun Pharma ranked the 19th with its pharmaceutical business, compared with the 25th place in last year.

It’s learnt that the List ranked 2146 pharmaceutical enterprises according to their total assets, main business incomes and total profits. Together with Fosun, GPC, Xiuzheng Pharma, Bayer Healthcare and Harbin Pharma were also listed in the Top100.

The pharmaceutical industry lies in the core of the business development of Fosun Pharma. After years of acquisition and integration, R&D and marketing, Fosun’s business scope covers metabolism and digestive tract, cardiovascular, antineoplastic, immunoregulation, nerve system, anti-infection among other therapeutic areas, with major products occupying leading positions in the market. Currently, 15 products in the company have crossed 100 million in sales. In future, Fosun will further focus on superior resources and develop the core pharmaceutical business to strengthen its competitiveness in the industry.
